Since we received several remittance forms back last week, I would like to thank those who are helping us restore the parish facilities of St. Francis Xavier through the Capital Campaign. With that being said, a few comments. First, when receiving a payment reminder, please detach the bottom stub and include with your remittance, unless you have corrections to the form. This is the only way your pledge can be credited. The Budget envelopes are for regular parish offerings and the Capital Campaign is ‘in addition to’, not ‘in lieu of’ the regular collection. The budget envelopes deal with ordinary expenses such as payroll, utilities, liturgical supplies, debt, insurance, fuel, etc. The Capital Campaign is a separate account used for the extra-ordinary repair of the facilities. There was not enough pledged in the Capital Campaign to reduce our debt; but we will attempt to do that through our regular collections, when means allows.
When you send money towards your pledge, please do not use regular budget envelopes, as those are counted and recorded into the general operating account for weekly expenses. The Capital Campaign goes in a separate account, hence the detachable payment stub, so we can credit your account properly.
Some have commented that they pledged $75 per month, but were given different amounts. The $75 a month on a 36 month pledge depended on a pledge of $3,000 with a down payment of $300. If there was no down payment, the $3,000 divided by 36 months resulted in an $83.33 monthly payment. If you want to make changes, or extend the period of monthly payments to reduce your monthly charge, please make that correction on the top portion of the statement.
To help us out, only use your budget envelopes for regular weekly donations, as we need to be very accurate with people’s monies.
