MASS SCHEDULE
Last year we eliminated the 5:30PM Saturday night Mass at St. Francis Xavier and this resulted in strengthening the 4PM Mass. There was no need to add the 5:30 PM Mass at SFX during the summer months because the 4PM Mass capacity was still less than 50%. This year, as we looked at the numbers from last year and running through an entire year cycle, we will be instituting a new winter schedule. The 7AM Sunday Mass at St. Francis Xavier will be suspended beginning November 1st. This will also result in cost savings for the parish.
While we are grateful to Fr. Frederici for assisting us with one Mass on Sunday, while acting as Cape Cod Hospital Chaplain, Scouting Director and Chaplain to Cape Cod Community College, there are several weekends he is away. Msgr. Munroe will soon be leaving for Florida. With winter vacations and low attendance already in the off season, we plan to reinstate the 7AM during the summer months, when our off-Cape parishioners return to join us. The 7AM Mass will run from the Fourth of July weekend until Labor Day weekend. Please know the 8AM and 10AM at Sacred Heart Chapel has room for anyone who cannot attend the 9AM or 11AM in downtown Hyannis.
